Operations Supervisor

Our client is a prominent independent supplier and marketer of fuel and petroleum products as well as a leading convenience store operator. They proudly serve diverse retail, commercial and wholesale customers across Canada, the United States, the Caribbean region, and South America. We supply a growing family of locally known brands with all their fuel needs.

The Role: 

We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to take responsibility for the daily operations of the Summerside branch. Notable responsibilities include;

  • Supervise branch staff including coordinating leaves, vacations, performance management, establishes work priorities and determines staff requirements;
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental policies are adhered to and all employees abide by hours of work and safe work practices;
  • Oversee the maintenance of property and equipment for the branch to ensure everything is accounted for and remains in safe working order;
  • Manage current customer relationships, calls prospective customers to obtain their business;
  • Address all customer issues involving pricing and deliveries to develop solutions that meets the customer’s needs in order to maintain the business relationship;
  • Provides product knowledge and solutions to customers and employees when needed.

Requirements: 

As the successful candidate, you are a brand ambassador who will take pride in the location and work to build the business and operate it in a safe and efficient manner. You have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. You are also a proven leader with great interpersonal skills, conducting yourself in a pleasant and friendly manner.

  • Minimum 2 years progressive supervisory experience with a focus in operations management;
  • Industry knowledge relating to energy distribution considered an asset.
