The Role

We are currently recruiting a bilingual District Manager to work out of our clients Edmunston, NB office. This role will oversee all business in their district, including but not limited to; customer service, safety, operational efficiencies, personnel management, managing revenue, and marketing initiatives. The District Manager will be relied upon for planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making for their district. Other notable duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Manage and provide leadership for supervisors and direct reporting employees within the division;
  • Monitors budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures, and performance;
  • Review all employee timecards for accuracy on a daily basis;
  • Assist in forming business plans for tenders and other new business ventures;
  • Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with company standards and other standards and regulations;
  • Work closely with the HR team to oversee personnel needs of the division including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance.

Requirements

As the ideal candidate, you are a jack of all trades with a strong knowledge of the waste management industry. You are a proven leader with the ability to motivate and inspire others, and have managed employees before. You have an excellent knowledge of operations, with a strong ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks and projects. You also possess the following;

  • Bilingual (English & French) language skills, both written and spoken;
  • A minimum of 5 years in an Operations Manager role;
  • University diploma/degree in business or equivalent work experience;
  • Experience and strong knowledge of operating trucks and equipment;
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
